So to get Artboard Activity up tomorrow after the next Shutdown ( Monday ~6:45 PM Eastren) Artboard Wars II is going to start. Everyone who comes on is allowed to participate.
The rules are simple. -You draw a base (not too big so there's room for others) -You draw a weapon -You attack other bases (by drawing incoming hazards) -Defend your base from hazards
Important! No total destruction of the bases unless the artist consents No bombing (We wanna be able to save a video of the whole ordeal)
Naturally, we need someone who can be able to make a video
Also, it's not limited to SGTB, so invite people if you want.
The whole even lasts until the Shutdown on Tuesdayy, which gives about 24 hours for people to battle. Unless of course, we overload the Artboard Server (there's a limit to how much you can draw before needing to bomb) in which case I guess it ends early.
Forums everywhere have shut down due to IPBFree being completely destroyed. After an unexpected legal issue, they have SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING, including their site, every forum running on it, and their twitter and facebook.
So discuss. Pretty sad that one of the major free forum providers has crashed so badly and unexpectedly. Not that they could have done anything about it.
I'm a p. cool guy, and I've heard that imagpaste is a thing people would like to have, so I've decided to make a Public Imagepaste Password for people to use.
Important:
How to Imagepaste: (make sure popups are enabled) Step 1: type "/imagepaste" (no quotations) in the chatbox. Step 2: put in the ID "imagepaste" and password "imagepaste" (without quotations) Step 3: Choose a pic on your computer to imagepaste Step 4: Click on the canvas where you want to paste the image (after it loads) Step 5: ??? Step 6: PROFIT
IMPORTANT RULES: 1. Only imagepaste stuff that was originally drawn on a Takamin Oekaki Canvas (aka the Artboard and others like it) -The Artboard is not the Photo Channel. It's a board for drawing stuff. ---NO EXCEPTIONS 2. If you did not draw it, ask the creator for permission. ---NO EXCEPTIONS 3. If there is already a pic drawn, get permission to paste over it. This ties in with the "Bombing rule" on the Artboard Rules ---NO EXCEPTIONS
Punishment: If I find ANY these rules broken, I will end the trial and nobody gets to imagepaste anymore. Imagepasting is a privledge, not a right. And I will abide by this no matter how much you complain after I revoke it.
Two highly similar games, yet extremely different. Two games with a massive influence on the Marioverse. 2 games that define Mario Platforming.
In one corner, Super Mario Bros 3. This game introduced the Koopalings, added recognizable powerups, introduced the concept of branching paths in world, and generally redefined the Mario Platformer. Mario Bros 3 is acclaimed as one of the best Mario Platformers to date.
In the other corner, Super Mario World. Super Mario World improved heavily on the Mario Bros 3 formula, adding dozens upon dozens of new foes to battle, adding the secret exits, having a massive amount of content in total (over 90 exits), had difficulty to spare (Special World, anyone?), and finally, introducing us to the titular Yoshi, the lovable green dinosaur.
Because games with 1842 different countries are annoying.
